Has anyone written a util that spiders a ftp site and prints out
the space taken within each directory?
According to my host, I'm 500Mb over quota .. just can't see where
though.

look at all the files starting with a . as well, you don't see them
by default.

some ftp clients NEVER show files starting with a dot, others need
to be configured to show them.

Looks like i don't need that util after all. My host located a 500Mb
movie file uploaded by a hacker a couple of weeks ago .. must be
at the same time my site got defaced.
anyone know of a command line unzip util that preserves case?

I tried pkunzip -e -o and all the files were extracted in uppercase.

doesn't work as a command line utility without installation first
:(
Talked to HP tech support .. seems I need to initialise both drives
before I can set up raid 1 :(

I've got Windows 2003 server already setup on the initial drive.
Pulled out the existing scsi card, and put in the raid card, and
added another hard drive. Proliant ML110 server.
Tech guy said if I had setup the first drive on the raid controller,
it would not be a problem.

Is the Card recognized by the OS?

Ahhh old compaq models
maybe a termination problem
Graham

new server .. bought 2 weeks ago.

Yeah the model is one from Compaq days
Proliants are the name of the servers that Compaq use to sell before
they got purchased by HP
and still today obviously
Graham

I think the name is Proliant, but the motherboard is certainly well
past Compaq days

[644]
Yeah most likely - Are the drives external or internal?
Graham
18-Jan-2005
[645]
internal
[unknown: 5]

[646]
termination should'nt be the problem then. Do you get the bios info
of the card and able to get into its config at boot up?
Graham
18-Jan-2005
[647]
yes.
[unknown: 5]
18-Jan-2005
[648]
Does it show both drives?
Graham
18-Jan-2005
[649]
yes.

[650]
So these are old drives that have data that you still want the data
from correct?
Graham
18-Jan-2005
[651x2]
yeah.
just the first drive.. the second drive is new.
[unknown: 5]
18-Jan-2005
[653x3]
hmmm... That is a strange animal as usually you have to setup the
correct type of raid and then initialize but I have seen data loss
doing it
ok. Here is an idea then
You want to establish the drives as a raid setup but fail the new
drive and have it rebuilt it
Graham
18-Jan-2005
[656]
yes.
[unknown: 5]

You did that part?
Graham

I wasn't able to tell the controller I wanted to setup raid 1, it
only allowed me to say "volume"
[unknown: 5]
18-Jan-2005
[659]
The controller support raid?
Graham
18-Jan-2005
[660]
yes ..
[unknown: 5]

Nothing about "mirroring" which is what raid 1 is?
