GrahamC 4-Nov-2010 [2322] | probably based on his tiny paint program :) |
Dockimbel 4-Nov-2010 [2323] | Oh, this could probably be easy to build again starting from his paint program? |
GrahamC 4-Nov-2010 [2324x3] | Probably .. i don't need it but it was just an example of software that gets lost when not in a public repository |
Eg. Anton has closed all his websites ... I think he's working on getting something up again eventually
To save you the bother ... https://github.com/gchiu/Rebol2/blob/master/Protocols/ldap-protocol.r
GiuseppeC 6-Nov-2010 [2327] | Jocko, I'll try TTS extension as soon as possible. It is really nice to have this on REBOL. |
Kaj 6-Nov-2010 [2328] | Jocko, dumped Windows, so I can't use your extensions, but they're still very cool :-) |
jocko 7-Nov-2010 [2329x2] | what do you mean by dumped windows ? |
windows -> Windows | |
GrahamC 7-Nov-2010 [2331] | I think he means he prefers to use Syllable as his desktop OS |
jocko 7-Nov-2010 [2332] | I really understand that choice ! |
Kaj 7-Nov-2010 [2333] | :-) I'm now on a graphical version of Syllable Server |
RobertS 8-Nov-2010 [2334x2] | IT's OK - only the State of Kerala has sworn off Windoze, to my knowledge. Now if the State of Alabama were to do so, then we might worry about wasted effort .... ;-) |
Or Montenegro: only once "organized" business at https://invizi.organized.ru moves off Windows-based pseudo-accounting/audit/governance/non-transparency slopware will we have cause to worry. But the EU forensic auditors use Windows, so as long as they are still looking for where millions of Euros end up, there will be work to do on Win64, Win128 .... And then comes Macedonia ....
Maxim 8-Nov-2010 [2336] | Jocko, nice work! :-) |
WuJian 12-Nov-2010 [2337] | nve: rebol-view-277-3-1.exe and rebol-core-277-3-1.exe. Windows version of REBOL |
Carl 17-Nov-2010 [2338x2] | Replies about http://www.rebol.com/article/0499.htmlcan be posted here. Thanks. |
Apparently, there's a dispatch center down right now due to a REBOL scripting bug. But, I don't know who to forward the feedback to. :(
Pekr 17-Nov-2010 [2340x2] | hmm, I remember some community memeber introducing his app, maybe it was even here .... |
http://www.rebol.org/documentation.r?script=animresize.r
Steeve 17-Nov-2010 [2342x2] | weird story... |
Moliad is Maxim AFAIK | |
Pekr 17-Nov-2010 [2344] | yes .... so Max should know ... another possible lead - http://www.scofmp.org/sco_task_force.pdf |
Carl 17-Nov-2010 [2345x2] | Actually, the developer contacted me just now. Someone new that I don't know. |
Some developers just want to stay totally under the radar.
Steeve 17-Nov-2010 [2347] | sadly when problem arises, they deserve it... |
GrahamC 17-Nov-2010 [2348] | Was that related to tthe weird bug posted on rambo.r ? |
amacleod 17-Nov-2010 [2349] | at Pekr...That was for me. maxim was helping me out. |
Demitri 17-Nov-2010 [2350] | Is that David Harings software? |
nve 26-Nov-2010 [2351] | I invite RobertS on http://www.digicamsoft.com/cgi-bin/rebelBB.cgi?thread=<16Nov201014400973923100> Or send me an email. |
Oldes 9-Dec-2010 [2352] | good to see that at least Maxim is back... he was in black out as well:) |
Maxim 9-Dec-2010 [2353x3] | yes... sick. but back on track and with a successfull showing of my 3D R3 to the potential customer. so the CGR system will continue to be evolved after the holidays. |
the current version handles multiple 3D view ports and interactive dragging of 3d gobs while they are being animated with practically no performance loss a part for the 2d gob handling. I'll check out Cyphre's OpenGL tests so see how they can be integrated with CGRs so that the complete solution is hardware accelerated.
I'll probably be using my holiday free time to finally release R2 glass and make a preliminary release of Remark which is tightly coupled to cheyenne.
amacleod 9-Dec-2010 [2356] | I was getting the impression that R2 glass was out and r3 glass dev was on.... |
GrahamC 9-Dec-2010 [2357] | optical illusion :) |
Maxim 9-Dec-2010 [2358] | to get glass for R3 is a big endeavour, but after the holidays, possibly starting in february, I will be working on this. right now I've got a very stable glass for R2 which just needs to get its last touches applied to current skin and refurbishments for the tutorial I had already started building which is now a bit out of date with current state of glass. |
BrianH 10-Dec-2010 [2359] | Nice, Nick! Trying to convince people to vote for you this year? :) |
Kaj 10-Dec-2010 [2360] | Cool stuff |
GrahamC 10-Dec-2010 [2361] | nick, maybe you should franchise out your system |
Kaj 10-Dec-2010 [2362] | Yeah |
Maxim 10-Dec-2010 [2363] | lol, no I'm cementing my position for next year ;-) |
RobertS 13-Dec-2010 [2364] | the gui combo announced fails with ** Script error: path styl/faced is not valid for none! type which I posted in the wrong place (how I have come to loathe altme ...) |
Pekr 15-Dec-2010 [2365] | Oldes - nice achievement - wrapping 336 FMOD API functions - was that what you mean by autogenerated? Because if not, it is really an extensive work done .... |
Oldes 15-Dec-2010 [2366x4] | I parse the fmod.h file and generate the commands... but in some cases it require manual overview so that's why some of the functions are still missing (and some may not work.. like the CMD_FMOD_Channel_SetSpeakerMix where it requires more than 7 args as an input, so I must probably manualy modify it. Also it's just the functions exported to REBOL, so it may require some more work to be more usable in real life.. and I must learn how to do callbacks (my next lesson) |
But better to make it available now so someone can overview it when I need an advice.
So far I can say, that R3's extension are much more better than R2's dll support. At least when you want to do something real. And it's usable for C newbies like me.
(now if I had a mini gui, I could make Rebamp:) I should invest some time to the view part as well.
jocko 19-Dec-2010 [2370] | nice work, Oldes. I agree, a mini gui would allow atractive demos. |
nve 19-Dec-2010 [2371] | Seems Carl has worked on that in march... http://www.rebol.com/r3/docs/gui/guide.html |
