work on it for a couple of more weeks and you'd have a spreadsheet
that would be fully usable. this is so impressive.

Gregg did some Awesome stuff, like the simplest dialect for cells,
shrinking by 50% what I had done...;-/

how do you mean?

very interesting way to make spreadsheets. hard to explain, but involves
column and row naming and grouping
the Quantrix Modeler is one of those tools that lift productivty
to a new level and is ignored by the public. just like rebol :-(

I did some things that support something similar which I stripped
out...but that's not all...;-)
Gregg did the macro language very clever so it builds everything
dynamically. Spins the most colorful propellers.

For the record, REBOL.net and REBOL.org both look good for the next
three years.

But a useful reminder for all of us to check our domains before it's
too late.

And not to lose the email address to which the registrar sends reminders.....Email
may be dead, but it's heart hasn't stopped beating yet.

you guys have to have pure services in US then?
In CZ, we have NIC - central registrant, which does not accept any
registrations and is only coordinator and State has its xy % of value
there. We have to choose between various certified registrant companies.
I did choose globe.cz and they are fine. They do care, they pay to
NIC.cz and then they request money from me. Before the domain expires,
I am notified, if I have nothing agains payment of next period and
if there is any info I want to change ...
I have also unified portal, where I can see all my domains (actually
something as 7 or 8), I can change MX, DNS entries, FTP, hostings,
etc. etc.
huh, did not try rebol.com untill now, that is really a bad for RT
to forget to renew domain ;-)
shouldn't anyone in US give RT a call to notify them?

I had to wait a week or more with my domain lapsed before networksolutions
gave it up and allowed me to register it again with new registrar
they seemed somewhat reluctant to respond to my request to transfer
to registrar while it was active

Help, Help, its a runaway spreadsheet!
VERY COOL, Cyphre. That is way-out-of-the-box.
better than any Amiga screen hacks that I can remember...
however, functionality is an important critieria in the contest...so
everyone knows the competition is still open...I have seen a calendar,
some web stats, etc that have been done thus far...

Brian, trim works in-situ
battery-file: to-file join battery-dir [ battery "state" ]

seems incorrect
copy value to end (trim value)

I always have problems with these types of statements in real world
data, cause if 'value becomes none, then 'trim will throw a wobbly

Oh I see what you're talking about. Yes, nice article, Brian. :)
That must be very helpful documentation for beginners.

Brian, my first take on this was that [ battery ... ] would not be
evaluated , but I see it is.

I think if I were to rewrite I would use 'rejoin instead.

Still, it's sort of a marker of my knowledge right now. I want to
let it simmer for a bit before I go in and start trouching it up.
Graham

well, if you did this

battery-file: join battery-dir join battery "state"

you wouldn't need the 'to-file
