Ingo: message field is resizable and I can copy text using right
click.

Serious: would like if i could type a german word and have it looked
up in a dictionary. similar to a spell-checker.

I want keyboard support :-) Few days ago my wireless mouse run dry
on batteries, I started AltME, and then just smiled :-)
solution - buy new batteries ahead, or don't throw your old ps2/usb
mouse yet :-)

Complete sentence? czech would be impossible. German woudl be hard
;)

but writing in english mixed with native words and replace them
before posting is nice.

I would like the sugestons applied to altme instead of just qtask...
honestly. at davis sugustions wer solicited brains were picked time
and effort was spent to give input to inprove altme. but that capital
was spent on qtask instead.

Tom, I'm a bit confused about your statement, What is Davis?, and
what input was used for Qtask instead of AltME?
Tomc

[2098x2]
first rebcon was in Davis Calif.
you solicited and recived input for improving altme that never appeared
in altme but has appeared in qtask.

Is there a way to see old urgent messages?
Graham

OK, it's time again for the twice weekly drive Reichart crazy competition
to get your favourite bugs fixed ... ;-)

I'll just copy verbatim from one of my last entries ...

I'll third the second request, (which is now the "0"th) ... Don't
loose any data!!!
and related subrequests ...

- don't drop me out of whatever I'm reading / writing, just because
altme lost connection ... who cares? But I DO care, if suddenly the
unread markings are lost

- If I start typing a message in one channel, then go to a second,
clear the input field, and remember the message for the channel I
started typing it, so that I can send it later, when I go back to
that channel

- if I write a message, but don't have a connection, save it, and
ask me whether I stil want to send, when the connection comes back
(with a time threshold, send silently 5 minutes later, but not 5
days) ( Yes, this is debatable, what if I realize, that I _wanted_
to send this to a different channel?

Not yet teamwork, but I _can_ be persistant ;-)

I think I'll add this list to the rebolweek blog .. top 10 list of
Altme peeves :)
are we up to 10 peeves yet ??

When you guys have your Top 10, - AND - you all agree to the list,
then we will attack it : )

[2112]
aww... is this some kind of democrazy ?
[unknown: 9]
31-Jan-2007
[2113x2]
Yes, and I plan to abuse its shortcoming LOL
The great thing about a democracy is that it disfavours minorities.
So you can't get anything done until ALL of you agree.

I have sent Graham the 2004 list, there were alot more who cared
back then ... do we have to get them to agree as well

Sunanda......shhhhhhhhhhhhh, can't make it that clear...
Of, note, when we made the last back then, Carl updated this world,
and we did indeed lose a bunch of info...
It was just bad timing.

My major frustration with AltMe is that scrolling isn't functional
under Windows but it works under Linux.
If there is a long converstation ro long posts in a topic, I either
have to switch from Windows to Linux or, if the topic is web-public,
read it at rebol.net

Odd, I live on Windows, I'm not seeing this problem. Do you mean
scrolling with the keyboard?
PeterWood

[2123x6]
The second major peeve is that clicking on http links and cut&paste
to/from the Gnome clipboard doesn't work under Linux. So then I have
to return to Windows.
Reichart: No with the scroll-bar arrows.
I have, always, found that when you have a lot of messages in a topic,
one click on an arrow (up or down) will scroll past information no
on the screen.
no on -> not on
The problem appears to be that the amount scrolled by one click seems
to be determined by the size of the topic display.
Accurate scrolling requires dragging the scroll bar status block
in minute steps which gets beyond my patience.

It probably works well if you have a scroll-wheel mouse - but I don't.
Graham

that's a major peeve of mine too
It's request 7

Graham

Is in Checklists - where else !!!
Is -> It's
I have reported the Linux link clicking and cut & paste via feedback.

I'm not sure about the scrolling --- so forgive me if I enter it
again.
