ok, my mistake. Servers don't use the normal client prefs. Here are 
the steps...

move your debug file to the altme/servers/vertuzo directory, then 
restart the world

btw, remove the debug file from your other dir, or your clients may 
log too much info

After startup, debug file is:

so, version number is different.

Maybe the bug is that the server does not apply the recent patches.

Download 1.2.18, and try again.  This will tell us.

website shows 1.2.15, is that correct?

yes... but I am concerned because I started a new world here to confirm 
the debug settings, and it worked.

Safeworlds did not want to see people using or reselling AltME free 
product as a server. So, it does not initialize properly when used 
that way.

ok, I restarted it "the old way". I wanted to have it in .cmd, to 
auto-start servers, when machine reboots ...
