All of them as far as we know, but we can't test them ourselves
VMware is usually best
Or QEmu

Thanks for testing, but this one has no REBOL included yet
I hope to release the new one in a week or two

The web viewer of SF CVS is back
This also makes the source of the R3 extensions available again

Pertaining to the previous discussion in "Red": If you do
readelf -h `which ls` | grep Type
on Syllable, what type do you get? EXEC, DYN, something else?
Kaj

[2343]
DYN

I've written a build recipe for the Fossil version control system:
http://syllable.cvs.sourceforge.net/viewvc/syllable/syllable/system/apps/utils/Builder/packages/Fossil--current/
Of course it just works on Syllable Server, because that's Linux,
but for Syllable Desktop it turns out to need the newest Syllable
development build for advanced facilities
So we can use it as a cross-platform solution

I've produced a new Syllable Desktop live CD, shipping with REBOL
3 and Boron:

@Kaj: I just tried SyllableDesktop-0.6.6-LiveCD.i586 on my Asus Eee
PC netbook yesterday. It worked when I select "USB 1 only / Asus
Eee PC" after giving lots of "panic" msg during boot. But then it
worked great.

Why was it having panic attacks for?
Endo

I don't know, it said "flush_block ... failed" several time (20-30
times may be) I thought that it doesn't work but then desktop appeared
and it works fine.

Nice to hear
The panics can be ignored. That's not normally the case, but it is
because it's running on a CD while it is expecting a writable medium
The parts of the system that count are moved into a RAM disk during
start-up
Endo, what's the resolution of your EeePC screen? I'm interested
if the default 800x600 resolution works on 800x480 netbooks
By the way, it's on OSNews now:

Endo

my screen res. is 1024x600 but Syllable opens 800x600 screen and
there is only 640x480 and 800x600 options, no 1024x600.
I also switched to turkish-q keyboard, I able to write turkish letters
with no problem. That is nice, becuase on many OSes turkish letters
are problematic.

Cool, thanks for the report :-)
Apart from the Alt-Function keys, did you also try the Preferences/Screen
applet? I think the offered resolutions are a function of the video
driver. Some drivers know some wide screen resolutions, but not many

I tried Preferences/Screen applet, there was just 640x480 and 800x600.
I will try live cd on my desktop pc this weekend also, it is an old
amd athlon.
Kaj

OK, thanks. To get wide screen resolutions, the driver for your video
chip would need to be updated

There is no USB bootable version, right? It could be good because
it is a writable media.
Kaj

No, we've been working on it, but the boot sequence in the kernel
doesn't support it yet
Petr, thanks for your support on OSNews. :-) I can use it

yeah - I don't know who Cipri is, and I also think that Syllable
progress is kind of questionable to become mainstream OS soon :-),
but otoh why to put it down that way?

He was associated several years ago with some people who put up a
big fight in the project and eventually left and supposedly forked
Syllable because they knew everything better, never to be heard from
again. Apart from the trolls that are still roaming around, that
is
