it is because of web in general - plenty of very fast websites around

it's alpha, which means non optimized yet.

My suspicion is that it holds strong table design - all that shadowing 
is imo done by table-in-table, using bitmaps etc. Maybe more of css 
based design would help?

but, you can't get very much out of the web anyway. qtask has a long 
list of prople with the photos and so on...

but back to topic .... dunno if general audience is interested into 
what I described very shortly. The thing is QTask may be the right 
way to get the job done, although to discuss, I would use AltME still 
.... but to define tasks, subtasks etc., QTask may be OK.

RAMBO is ok, but in no way to watch implementation plan ....

Today in the morning I watched Carl's presentation and it seems to 
me that this time Carl was not so concrete as last year, mainly a 
general ideas were presented and "what would be cool to achieve" 
without actually defining how to achieve that?

well, maybe just my lack of proper English understanding plays some 
role here, but the only concrete thing I remember is the mid-november 
date for some releases ....

more detail will probably be announced later... maybe nov. 14th :P

yes, I noticed 14.11 mentioned here or there - what that concrete 
date? Why not 15.11? :-) Does it have any other meaning, or just 
14.11. was choosed and not related to anything?

I remember that Carl, same weeks ago, told that /Services would/will 
be used to organize groups of developers to target different aims. 
Am I wrong?

REBOL/Coop, which will be created just for that, will be based on 
/Services.

Gabriele - what was the mention of file-syncs etc about? Will LNS 
sport some kind of IOS syncing pre-built or ....

with regards to QTask speed.., from my experience..it really depends 
on time of day and who logs on.


it gets slows once the QTask developers starts working...but apart 
from that, it can be 'breezy'.

Reichart mentions that there are plans to speed things up. Specific 
details, I will leave it up to him to share.

LNS does not have file-sync in. but, file-sync (next-gen IOS, to 
be used in Altissimo and so on) is probably going to be the first 
thing we build on LNS.

LNS is like ARexx. ARexx does not do image manipulation, but you 
can send commands to DPaint, or PPaint, or whatever, to do image 
processing.

and what is 'File-sync going to be? kind of syncing frame-work based 
upon LNS? Commercial or free one?

Altissimo is AltME 2.0, no? But that is Reichart's product, or how 
is that related to LNS? You work for Reichart of RT ... or both?

IIIRC reichart mentioned safeworld buid /platform. i guess thats 
related to lns too?
