We should present our own priority list and compare them ...
No doubt everyone's list will be a little different

I wonder if Carl isn't just following a GTD scheme, which basically
means working on whatever motivates him the most right now, because
that overall gives the highest level of productivity.
Graham

[176]
Well, no wonder there's no one else left at RT

and sometimes leaving a problem alone for a while allows a much better
solution present itself.
to present

R3 is not going to be finished by one person ... the whole point
was to involve the community.
Henrik

[180]
well, it seems to me the community is plenty involved, but it could
be a bit better.
Graham

[181]
Blocking the community by working on the website just seems incompatible
with that aim
Henrik

[182]
I'm not sure how that blocks the community. Did curecode stop working?

I agree with Graham - in fact it is highly demotivating and frustrating
situation. Some points of my analysis are ignored, and exactly predictable.
When website redo and 2.x upgrade was announced, I knew exactly what
happens and what it means for R3. Not a one week halt, but it is
stalled for more than one month already.
Why do we always stop at 95% of the subsystem completness?
Graham

[185]
Normally things stop at 90-95% because they're too difficult

Sorry, I'm playing devil's advocate here. But, really, there is still
a ton of things to do that doesn't involve Carl. The function reference
manual is only 30% done and that took me a week to do. So why don't
a couple of people here continue the work? I won't have time for
the next few months. Carl has asked for this several times, and this
is something that really needs to be done.

Henrik ... do we even have a license?
Henrik

[188]
To what?
Graham

for r3

Henrik - maybe ppl too want to choose, what they work on? :-) E.g.
Graham started the work on Schemes. He really SHOULD (and was supposed
to be) supported. Nothin happened. Robert throwed some Extension
related questions to R3 Chat - no answers too ...
Graham

[191]
A number of us said that R3 chat was a waste of resources ... and
... now, barely anyone uses it.
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[192]
So people can choose what to work on and Carl can't?
Graham
26-Jan-2010
[193x2]
Carl can do what he wants .. and that's the problem
His choices are illogical
Henrik

[195x2]
Pekr, Graham knows more about schemes and protocols now than he did
before. I'd say there is a win there.
Graham, so should we shut down the open R3 chat, which you and I
can fix bugs in and use the AltME that people don't like because
it's closed source?
Graham
26-Jan-2010
[197x3]
There's no win if I can't use it for anything ...
Might as well shut down R3 chat as Carl isn't using it .. and that
was supposed to be his communication channel
Questions go unanswered ...
Henrik

[200x2]
Well, you have the knowledge now.
Who says that Carl isn't using it? I see some private messages trickling
in once in a while. And Graham, you didn't respond to my question
that I posted there 3 hours ago to help resolve the document editing
situation on rebol.com.
Pekr

Henrik - what are you talking about? Graham asked for assistance,
schemes were supposed to be "revised" to see, if we use correct aproach
in order for Carl to be acceptable ... it was promissed ... but did
not happened ...
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[203]
Pekr, then Graham should ask him again.
Pekr
26-Jan-2010
[204]
Henrik: WHERE? :-)
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[205]
R3 chat...
Pekr
26-Jan-2010
[206]
ok, Graham, please do so :-)
Graham

I didn't see any questions ...
I have no special rights ...
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[209]
you don't need special rights to read message #6739.
Graham
26-Jan-2010
[210]
How was I supposed to know that your message was in response to my
statement from 2 weeks ago???
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[211]
Type "6739", press Enter, press J and the previous author is Graham.
Graham
26-Jan-2010
[212]
Wouldn't it be simpler if you put my name in the sentence so that
I know you are talking to me?
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[213]
I can do that next time.
Graham

Anyway I was able to edit this page http://www.rebol.com/r3/docs/functions/read.html

because my r3 chat rating was 50
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[215]
That's a manual page, so that looks OK. Can you edit a page like
this one:

http://www.rebol.com/rebol3/
Graham

[216]
To edit a page, you need a "edit" menu on the page
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[217]
try clicking the red box on the upper right corner
Graham

[218]
Yes ...
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[219]
ok? I get: "Restricted action. You have attempted to access a section
of this website that requires administrative access."
Graham

on what page?
Henrik
26-Jan-2010
[221x2]
on that page I linked to above.
