Massimiliano, does your wiki support different translations of the
same page ?

@Giuseppe,: No, wiki software is mediawiki, to have a good support
multilanguage you have to install a mediawiki for every language.
I just adopted http://www.informe.comfree solution ready to use;
and I haven't many option as superuser. However creating and importing
pages is easy. If you have already a wiki, export pages in a XML
file, and I'll import the pages.

Nope. I'll provide binaries later, so you can run it even easier
The text editor is new. I wanted to attempt it for the conference,
but ran out of time

If I wanted to run Red on my Windows-based computer, what would be
the process to do it? Do I download the Red sources from Github
and compile it on my computer? If so, are there instructions on
how to do it with a free compiler?
Kaj

A free compiler? Red and Red/System are the free compilers
GrahamC

[1322]
Bo, Rebol2 is used to create the Red/system binaries

You can run Red as an interpreter, although that's still limited,
from here, in MSDOS/Red/console:
The example programs are also in there, compiled and ready to run.
For the console-pro, you need the libraries in the RedSystem folder
http://red.esperconsultancy.nl/Red-test/dir?ci=tip&name=MSDOS
Instructions are here:
http://web.syllable.org/news/2012-11-18-20-47-Red-high-level-programming-language-first-alpha.html
If you want to run the compilers, just follow the official documentation:

Kaj, could you post the code in scripts, or in the #Red group, instead
of in the Announce group itself?
Nice code though :)

I'll revert to doing that in the future, but it seemed a major milestone
and people seem to like it, so I made an exception
The links to the scripts are already there

Maybe we need a separate Red Announce channel ...?
Make it easier to find the Red vs Rebol announcements

We orginally assigned "!" to apps written in REBOL.

Perhaps we should consider dedicating a symbol to RED? May not be
worth the overhead, depends how strongly people will over to RED
I guess.

It already has #
! would be wrong, because in time, Red will not be written in REBOL
anymore
Ah, you mean an extra symbol for Red apps?
There aren't currently any that would need a dedicated group
Andreas

I think Reichart meant a special symbol for Red-related groups, if
we add more of them.

sorry to say, but

this is just one more of the "too many sites" as MaxV calls them.

it seems, that too many rebol user think they should do their own
and can do it better.

this may be, but I think the average Rebol user is just to much individualist
to join

why don't we just follow Saphirion guys? They concentrate very fine
rebollers, it is just that as a business entity, they implement,
what they need most. But - everybody can influence it via donations
imo, so I did, sent few dollars to R3 droid port, and R3 GUI on droid.
in fact, it is even worse - GUI is done for quite some time, yet
no new styles/skins appear, so nothing to complain here about - anyone
of us can contribute. I just somehow don't believe, that yet-another-fork
will make situation any better ....
In regards to above remark, I e.g. don't understand e.g. Nick requesting
R2 being released, as R3 GUI is superior to R2, we just somehow magically
don't start using it, dunno why.
What imo R3 misses is some built-in protocols, databases. OTOH Cyphre
created TLS scheme .....
