Try typing this at the console, 'trace/net on', then try and access a
site ('read http://www.rebol.com'), and see what happens. You can also
use 'trace on', which will print out a ton of stuff, but only the last
20 or 30 lines will be needed to see where the problem occurs.
Also, what is the output of this?
