[ALLY] Getting one's head around View/Vid

Hi,
Because the Rebol language itself has been the source of much interest and fun for me,
I haven't as yet done anything useful with the graphic capabilities of View. But, I would
now like to learn this.
I've kept an eye on the various posts from this list. Is it correct to say that the current
manual for View is not up to date with the latest way of writing GUIs in View?
If so, any suggestions for an approach to learning it? I wish to avoid learning that
which is already superseeded.
I'm guessing I'll be needing to read through examples, which examples are the best to
start with?
Just trying to save a little time with by asking for your advice.
