Read it. Curious about the references to MySQL support.
Don't we have it already? (mysql-protocol). If you
want to keep rebol small, why add that which works so
well already?
For that matter, if one wants to keep rebol lightweight and
nimble, why not sqlite support?
And furthermore, what does "MySQL support" mean?
Does it mean that SO/DLL connection is compiled-in?
Or that the port connection is compiled-in?
Please don't hard-code port-ID 3306 :-)

Socket access would be great.
On the other hand, I do agree: if rebol is to be lightweight, keep MySQL out
of it. We've got DocKimbel's solution already, and why MySQL instead of
others?

I think this was just an example, referring to the port stuff.

I guess, the mentioned "Resident Storage Method" goes in that direction.

Yes, my take on it is that they want to make it easier to integrate
things from the outside.

That probably refers to the old RIF initiative.

Yes! "That's the ticket".

/Command has native MySQL support. Carl is referring to that.

Gabriele.
