FTP: how to avoid multiple connection ?

when uploading several files, rebol connect once for each file ? That's very
slow: is it possible to avoid that ? thanks.

Via FTP? No, unavoidable (for data connections anyway, control
connections are usually maintained on port 21). It is the nature of the
beast who's number is (RFC) 959 ;)
