Where the data resides in Express?

Hi,
I have a group of students working in their mandatory
Software Project course, the goal being to sort of
integrate collaboration and daily tasks (messaging,
calendar, todo-list etc.). I guess this sounds quite
familiar on this list - and we will probably indeed
use REBOL extensively.
Particularly the forthcoming REBOL Express seems to be
interesting. But there isn't much information about it
available and the group's work is in the late
requirements phases - not good for waiting a couple of
weeks. So can someone possibly further clarify some
aspects of Express?
The main question I have in mind just now is: where
does the data reside typically in Express? For
example, if you have a couple of Conferences reblets
open, is the data in centralized server and then
cached to the terminals, possibly with quite simple
caching rules? If this is the case, how much control
would our group have over the caching mechanism (e.g.
one research project at HIIT deals with things like
intelligent caching and prefetching…)? And how does
the server store and give the data? Is it essentially
as a database? Could we for example make an UI which
would integrate the messages from multiple
Conferences?
Another important question is about the email: in
listed reblets, nothing is said about it. I’m quite
certain that there however exists reblets for dealing
with email? And that the Express Server deals with it
too?
Cheers,
