Library script formatting problem
[1/7] from: antonr::iinet::net::au at: 2-Mar-2003 18:57
That's already been noted.
Looks like the problem of slide.r is at the
bottom, just before the final </PRE> tag.
There's 151 spaces after the final ']' in the
example code.
Removing them doesn't completely solve the problem,
though it helps a lot.

Thanks. We need to do a trim/tail (or something like that) on all the scripts
to tidy this up. I'll add it to the to-do list.

As I mentioned on Altme, it is *not* only the scripts.

Brett.

Thanks. I see the problem. IE 5.5 seems to have an implied min-width for the
content
Div of around 600pixels. I'm stumped as to why, and how to fix it.
Bear with me for a while.

Thanks for all the checking, testing and suggestions. I want the site to work
well (if not perfectly) in any browser, so I'll be playing around with your
suggestions over the next few days....Which may mean things get worse before
they get better.

Hi, Gregg and Sunanda, and Library team,
Let me apologize for not beginning my earlier note with
THANKS FOR ALL YOUR HARD WORK!!!!
(I was rushed this morning, but that's no excuse!) I know you've
taken on two large tasks -- organizing the library itself, and
designing a good way to access it -- and really appreciate how far
you've come!
I also know what a *PAIN* it is trying to design in a world with
so many browsers (many of which predate or ignore W3C standards),
having done a bit of it myself (and "invented" more presentation
bugs than I'd care to admit... ;-)

No problem. :) We're all working together here. Everyone has been very
patient waiting for us to produce something (for which we are
grateful) and all the comments so far have been very constructive. We
*really* appreciate everyone taking the time to look at it and comment.
Hopefully this is just a starting point.

No worries. I spend an inordinate amount of time telling my webmaster friends
and clients that their site doesn't work under all sorts of weird and
wonderful conditions that they never envisaged. This is payback time!
You can now start the Library with just http://www.rebol.orgrather than the
longer CGI URL we first gave.
